Terms & Conditions
The Bush Honey Co – Terms & Conditions of Sale
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to The Bush Honey Co. By accessing our website and purchasing products from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Our Products
The Bush Honey Co specialises in premium Australian honey sourced from our own apiaries and from trusted Australian beekeepers.
Our honey is minimally processed to preserve its natural floral identity, aroma, enzymes and naturally occurring pollen.
As our products are created by nature, colour, flavour, aroma, consistency and appearance will naturally vary between floral sources, harvests and seasons. These variations are normal and do not constitute a fault.
2. Product Images
Product photographs are provided as a guide only.
As every batch of honey is naturally produced by bees, the colour and appearance of the product you receive may differ slightly from the images displayed on our website.
3. Natural Crystallisation of Honey
Raw honey naturally crystallises (also known as candying) over time.
Crystallisation is a natural process and is one of the characteristics of genuine, minimally processed honey. Different floral varieties crystallise at different rates depending on their natural glucose content.
Crystallised honey is not spoiled, defective or expired.
If your honey crystallises:
- Remove the lid.
- Place the jar in a jug or bowl of warm (not boiling) water.
- Allow the honey to gently return to liquid form.
- Stir occasionally if required.
- Do not microwave the honey or expose it to excessive heat, as this may damage its natural enzymes, flavour and floral character.
For further information, please refer to Honey FAQ #1 – Why Does Honey Crystallise? on our website.
Because crystallisation is a natural characteristic of real honey, The Bush Honey Co does not provide refunds, replacements or exchanges for honey that has naturally crystallised.
4. Storage
For best quality:
- Store at room temperature.
- Keep lids tightly sealed.
- Avoid refrigeration.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
5. Returns, Refunds & Consumer Guarantees
The Bush Honey Co complies with the Australian Consumer Law.
We will provide a repair, replacement or refund where products:
- arrive damaged during transit;
- are incorrectly supplied;
- are faulty; or
- fail to meet the consumer guarantees provided under Australian Consumer Law.
To assist us in processing claims, customers may be asked to provide photographs of damaged goods and packaging.
Natural variation in colour, flavour, aroma, texture, viscosity or crystallisation is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not grounds for refund or replacement.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Food Allergies & Bee Pollen Warning
Honey is a natural food and may contain naturally occurring pollen.
Our infused honey products may contain herbs, spices and other natural ingredients. Customers with allergies or sensitivities should carefully read all ingredient information before purchasing.
Honey is not suitable for infants under 12 months of age.
Bee Pollen Warning
Bee pollen is a natural product collected by honey bees from flowering plants and may contain a wide variety of naturally occurring pollens.
Do not consume bee pollen if you have known allergies to pollen, bee stings or other bee products unless advised by your healthcare professional. Allergic reactions may occur in sensitive individuals and, in rare cases, can be severe.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking blood-thinning medication (including warfarin), have asthma, or have a history of severe allergic reactions, consult your healthcare professional before consuming bee pollen.
If consuming bee pollen for the first time, we recommend starting with a very small amount to assess your tolerance.
Discontinue use immediately and seek urgent medical attention if you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction, including swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, dizziness or hives.
The Bush Honey Co accepts no responsibility for adverse reactions resulting from the consumption of bee pollen where these warnings have not been followed.
7. Beeswax, Skincare & Natural Body Care Products
Wild Apiary skincare and beeswax products are made using natural ingredients.
Although every care is taken in their formulation, individual skin sensitivities can occur.
Customers should discontinue use immediately if irritation develops and seek medical advice where appropriate.
We recommend conducting a patch test before first use.
Our skincare and body care products are for external use only unless otherwise stated.
